one cannot edit in a backbone
some things just have to grow
or substitute salt for sugar
or pretend that both are snow
some people are forced to kill animals
just to get their ducks in a row
people will measure
but nature will measure correctly
man walks on two feet
but seldom stands erectly
sprinting with nowhere to go
