the thickest roof born
from a chestnut tree
sun scampered across the surface
mist sparkled what it found
leaves fell like buttons on top
making a falling sound
not a single resting place for wear
peace for at least a few years
for what is thick is soon thin
a roof is just a heavy door
to invite nature in
